REFLECTIONS ACROSS THE MILES

Criss-crossing the longitudes, reaching out for distant shore
Sailing the deep blue ocean, what a vast world to explore,
Against the wind and currents towards a land far away
Sought a haven in a harbor, laid to rest in peaceful bay.

The tropical rainforest and lush vegetation
Pristinely untouched God’s wonderful creation,
Unspoiled clear waters that embraces the grain-like sand
Rugged cliffs and ivory coastline designed by Master’s hand.

Ancient edifice and ruins, remnants of colonial past
The bastions and the fortresses, stronghold built to last,
Stone and brick cathedrals with belfry out of date
The foundation of Christendom, a witness of enduring faith.

Gigantic skyscraper looms over the city skyline
A triumphant achievement of man’s intellectual design,
Colossal statues inspired by the human mind
Skillful works of art where their hopes and dreams enshrined.

Cradle of civilizations and magnificent places
With a blend mix of cultures and people of varied faces,
A puzzling difference in every human race
Expressing babel of tongues in every other ways.

Remarkable sceneries, spectacular sights and sound
Silent and unexposed, still remain not found;
The world has aplenty of mysteries to reveal
Every corner of this planet has its own story to tell.
